The Honan Chapel - Gallery Collection
| Image Title | Honan Chapel: detail of north face |
| Description | The exterior of the Honan chapel is very plain. The main decoration on the
north and south faces is a continuous narrow horizontal course or moulding
which projects slightly from the surface of a wall called a string course. In the conservation work on the chapel stone restoration was carried out by Ed Hembrook. Richard Hurley won an RIAI (Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland) Conservation Medal, Special Commendation for his work on the Honan Chapel in 1987 and 1992. |
