The Honan Chapel - Gallery Collection
| Image Title | Honan Collection: Chasuble by Barry |
| Description | The white chasuble signifies the joy and purity of the soul. This white vestment is the garment of peace. White is used in the Offices and Masses during the Easter and Christmas seasons; also on celebrations of the Lord other than of his Passion, of the Blessed Virgin Mary, of the Holy Angels and of Saints who were not Martyrs. Mary Barry was inspired by the colours of the windows of the Honan Chapel for her abstract design. This detail shows the abstract design of interlocking crosses. |
