DescriptionThis is a detail of the enamel disc. It is in the pattern of the Celtic triskel. The incense boat and stoup were used with the thurible in the liturgy. The hinged lid is engraved with the arms and motto of the Honan Chapel. The vessel is decorated with animal interlace and two enamel discs. This item has been catalogued by Virginia Teehan & Elizabeth Wincott Heckett in The Honan Chapel: A Golden Vision published by Cork University Press in 2004.
