DescriptionIn the Roman Catholic liturgy, cruets are used to hold the water and wine used in the consecration of the Mass (Eucharist). This set was made by Edmond Johnson Ltd., Dublin. The tray is decorated with interlace patterns. This item has been catalogued by Virginia Teehan & Elizabeth Wincott Heckett in The Honan Chapel: A Golden Vision published by Cork University Press in 2004.
